Trying to find the right artwork for your space can be quite challenging at times, especially when you are working on a budget. For those of you who want to spice up your living space without the added costs, try doing it yourself or perhaps pawning it off to a friend if they are willing. I have been on the hunt for these Anne Siems prints for some time now. I decided if I couldn’t find them, I’d have to make them. I picked up some white frames from Homesense ($14.99 each), and sized watercolour paper I had lying around from some previous art class to fit the frame. After a long night and a couple glasses of wine…Voila!

I fell in love with this bed the first time I laid eyes on it. It’s bold curvy design and black sleek look has just the right modern traditional and country appeal. Naturally, I had to create a room to showcase this lovely piece. The great thing about this bed is that its style is so versatile. That being said, I wanted to create a modern traditional feel. To achieve this look, I made sure that the majority of the room was comprised of modern elements. Geometric patterns, cool colours and sleek designs juxtaposed with more traditional pieces such as the dresser and the lamp. I think it looks fantastic. What do you think?
Today being a beautiful day and all, I decided to go visit my favourite retail furniture store and find out what’s new. To my delight, I found some pretty pillows, yay! and also stumbled upon this cute little kitchen apron that I just couldn’t resist. After all, it is Greek Easter weekend and I will be baking this week. So why not bake in style?
