I fell in love with this bed the first time I laid eyes on it. It’s bold curvy design and black sleek look has just the right modern traditional and country appeal. Naturally, I had to create a room to showcase this lovely piece. The great thing about this bed is that its style is so versatile. That being said, I wanted to create a modern traditional feel. To achieve this look, I made sure that the majority of the room was comprised of modern elements. Geometric patterns, cool colours and sleek designs juxtaposed with more traditional pieces such as the dresser and the lamp. I think it looks fantastic. What do you think?
I’ve died and gone to palette heaven! This is one of the most cost effective and eco-friendly way to create furniture. I’ve been obsessing over palette designs for quite some time now, and I am pretty sure a lot of you are too. So, I wanted to share with you the greatness I have found scouring the net. I wish there was a tutorial attached to these beauties, butunfortunately there isn’t. For all those DIY’ers out there, hope this is a great source of inspiration. Scroll down for some more great works.

Relaxing island inspired pieces with a touch of modern flare? Yes, please! I happened to stumble upon The Honolulu Furniture Company in my search for new and fresh ideas of reclaimed salvaged wood…and voilà! Absolutely gorgeous. Their Hawaiian Lounge Collection is très chill. This piece belongs in every beach house, front porch…what the heck, you could put it just about anywhere.
